TEOCO extends analytics partnership with TPx Communications
TPx deploys TrUNC for flexible reporting and automated capacity forecasting
FAIRFAX, VA., USA – 31 August 2017 – TEOCO, the leading provider of analytics, assurance and optimization solutions to over 300 CSPs and OEMs worldwide, today announced the extension of its relationship with managed service carrier TPx Communications. The partnership will now include TPx’s use of TrUNC, TEOCO’s end-to-end trunk analytics solution, to better understand the utilization of trunks in its network and to maintain optimal network capacity in a cost effective manner.
As a long-standing TEOCO customer, this decision from TPx came as a result of the successful implementation of TEOCO’s routing product Acuite and their long time use of cost management solution ViewLogic. The carrier requested that TEOCO implement a further solution to solve TPx’s main business challenge of greater flexibility and improved analytics capabilities in the reporting of its network engineering data. As well as, the need to support next generation networks in its transition from TDM to Ethernet/SIP.
By deploying, TEOCO’s TrUNC, TPx is able to strike a balance between the expensive oversupply of trunking capacity, and undersupply which can impair subscriber experience, as it uses historic trunk performance and utilization data for automated future capacity requirements. The solution further enhances the company’s ability to understand, monitor and effectively forecast network utilization, as well as allowing it to undertake “what if” analysis with network capacity growth or decline.
The SaaS solution also allows TPx to gain better access to data and capacity alerting when required inputs are not received on time, or at all. The carrier can configure threshold settings for trunk utilization alerts, gaining engineering efficiencies through automated notifications and recommendations of trunk grooming and expansion needs.
“We were impressed by the successful implementation of TEOCO’s previous solutions, and the company’s focus on enabling excellent service while still preserving the bottom line,” said Mark See, Director, Network Translations & Traffic Engineering, TPx. “We needed a tool that would allow a lot more reporting flexibility and greater insight in order to deliver on the promise of a next-generation SIP network. TEOCO proved itself a flexible partner throughout the project.”
