Challenge

When TEOCO’s relationship with this customer began in 2004, the Operator was incurring billions in annual wholesale network access costs each month. They needed a more efficient and effective way to manage this huge financial burden. The customer’s network access costs were $3.2 billion annually and they were processing 25,000 wholesale vendor invoices per month. At the time, 40 percent of these invoices were paper-based and were being managed manually. This created huge overhead costs and backlogs and led to costly mistakes.

TEOCO’s Solution

TEOCO deployed its BillTrak Pro invoice automation software and services. This created a centralized repository for all network-related cost data, which was also be used for financial accruals and to ensure compliance with Sarbanes–Oxley regulations.

Value Generated

BillTrak Pro (BTP) automated the entire wholesale invoice process, including the loading and processing, account coding, auditing and payment of the 25,000 invoices and associated costs the Operator incurred every month. This greatly improved the carrier’s ability to pay and process invoices in a timely manner, reduced overhead costs and provided access to valuable data across the organization.
