Turk Telekom – Performance Management as a Managed Service
Turk Telekom is the largest fixed-line operator in Turkey, with over 46 million subscribers. Turk Telekom covers 81 cities with its 282K km fiber network and provides LTE coverage to 91% of the population in Turkey.
Turk Telekom is a long-time TEOCO customer for Performance Management. The carrier had two separate TEOCO Optima systems in production – one for their fixed network, and one for their mobile network. The two systems were managed by third-party vendors, but in 2017 Turk Telekom wanted to consolidate its performance management into a single, unified solution, and upgrade its capabilities.
In late 2017, Turk Telecom selected TEOCO to consolidate its performance management into a unified solution under TEOCO’s managed services. As part of the project, the two Optima systems were replaced with a single Helix Performance Management solution. Since the transition in 2018, TEOCO’s on-site Managed Services team has been deployed at two Turk Telekom facilities.
The Helix Performance Management solution helps Turk Telekom ensure optimal network performance, along with improved operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Turk Telekom operations teams benefit from a common reporting platform, and a single integrated solution that covers the entire network, encompassing more than 75 interfaces. The TEOCO onsite team provides all levels of support and of course is very familiar with the production system.
