Location: Fairfax, USA Date: 1st September 2020

The Assistant Controller is responsible for ensuring accuracy and timeliness of accounting transactions and financial statements while conforming to the processes and procedures of the applicable accounting principles and regulatory requirements. This role will report directly to the Corporate Controller, and will manage a team of one analyst. The main job responsibilities include:

  • Prepare accurate and timely consolidated financial statements with insightful analysis
  • Managing revenue forecasts and actuals, project administration, billing and collection efforts for North America and CALA Regions
  • Support financial statement audits with preparing schedules and appropriate documentation
  • Administer the global transfer pricing policy including managing intercompany activity
  • Prepare global reports including revenue, cash flow and quarterly board reporting
  • Administer user controls for accounting system and banking for all global entities
  • Prepare and file state sales tax returns
  • Assist with US federal and state tax filing

The Assistant Controller will make recommendations that enable the senior management and executive teams to make the best strategic and tactical decisions for the enterprise.   • Bachelor’s degree (Accounting/Finance/Economics), and a CPA
  • Experience in the Computer Software / Information Technology industry is preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with SAP Business One is preferred
  • Understanding of revenue forecasting of long-term projects and different level of complexity, someone who understands projects delivery and its life cycle
  • Exceptional eye for detail and are comfortable managing very large amounts of data
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet assigned deadlines
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills required, able to connect with remote multi-national teams
  • Experience working in a global environment preferred
