Overview
As networks grow in size and diversify in vendor equipment, effective monitoring is becoming a more challenging task. For quick time-to-market of new network and service technologies, “libraries” (network plug-ins), processing data arriving from vendor equipment needs to be rapidly created to supply meaningful and uniformed information to OSS/BSS applications.
TEOCO’s Netrac Studio provides an integrated solution for mediation library lifecycle management helping customers to efficiently and effectively integrate systems. Netrac Studio is a graphical development environment for creating and managing mediation implementation using specialized libraries. These libraries consist of a set of implementation rules specified for a certain vendor, technology, connectivity, network element, version and data types. The generated libraries are deployed and executed by the mediation engine. Netrac libraries support a large variety of protocols connecting to network elements or Element Management Systems.
EasySNMP Add-ons
As next-generation networks rapidly evolve and diversify in vendor equipment, creation of fault libraries for monitoring customer networks needs to be operated regularly by a quick deployment process. SNMP is one of the most common standard interfaces in the telecommunications industry. By utilizing the SNMP MIBs information; TEOCO’s Netrac supports automatic creation of the fault libraries.
TEOCO’s EasySNMP add-ons for Netrac Studio, are wizard based tools that facilitate and streamline the creation of SNMP libraries and assists in the quick deployment of new network elements by significantly reducing the start-time required for the monitoring process. The EasySNMP add-ons can be purchased in two flavors: EasySNMP for Fault Management (FaM) and EasySNMP for Performance Management (PMM). EasySNMP for FaM is a wizard tool for creating fault management libraries for SNMP-based equipment. The wizard supports a simple and rapid library implementation process. The library is based on MIB attribute selection, which automatically creates collection, transformation and alarm mapping rules. The wizard also supports automatic generation of a fault library with default definitions, according to the working methodology of the library. EasySNMP for PMM supports a simple and rapid library implementation process based on the selection of MIB objects such as tables and/or leaves. The wizard generates a performance library, which includes parsing definitions, information enrichments, KPI calculation, time aggregation formulas, performance report generation, database table storage and library documentation. Using the wizard, customers can easily generate a performance report that displays the collected data.

- Offers an integrated library lifecycle management tool that is a GUI-based, user-friendly SDK solution.
- Network and Applications Mediation Platform - retrieves the data from the network and converts it to different applications, including TEOCO’s Netrac and 3rd-party systems. The Netrac Fault and Performance Management solutions use the Netrac Studio platform to parse, transform, enrich, validate and store inputs in a specialized database or raise alarms.
