Netrac Mediation is a scalable, distributed, and highly flexible solution that enables CSPs to deploy and manage third-generation (3G) wireless, IP, and broadband data networks in combination with legacy voice networks.

  • Overview

    Communication Service Providers (CSPs) are challenged with managing rapidly growing multi-vendor and multi-technology convergent networks that comply with diverse standards and infrastructures to deliver complex multi-layered services.
    To reliably and quickly deliver high quality services, CSPs need to rapidly adapt to growing and changing network requirements for managing next-generation networks (NGN) in combination with legacy wireless and wireline voice networks.

    TEOCO’s powerful service and network assurance solution, Netrac Mediation, has a distributed and scalable multi-threaded architecture that supports multi-vendor and multi-technology networks with multiple protocols and interfaces efficiently. It is a robust bidirectional engine that collects data from the network and sends commands to the network. The solution can collect data from multiple sources such as Operational Measurements (OM), Key Performance Indicators, and xDRs. This data can be easily parsed, transformed, formatted, and validated to store in a database or send to external applications such as fault and performance management systems.

    Netrac Mediation has robust SDK tools that generate implementation rules (libraries) for specific vendors and technologies. The mediation engine is a real-time operational tool that executes these vendor and technologic specific implementation rules to collect and process data.

    The mediation engine is a highly flexible platform that supports rich functionalities which can be harnessed to process data based on customer needs and specific vendor and technology requirements. The processed data can be stored in a database or can be sent to any northbound application.
