    General Description

     As Regional Sales Manager you will be responsible to meet or exceed the assigned sales targets. You will have a track record of successful sales of products, services and solutions similar to the TEOCO portfolio and will have sold these successfully into the designated African territory.  You will have trusted C-level and Director-Level relationships and have easy access to decision makers.  You will have good knowledge of Telecom technologies and systems especially those in the RAN, Service Assurance and Managed Services domains.  You will be responsible to architect and execute a sales strategy for the assigned region which both successfully manages TEOCO’s current business and succeeds to enable key growth initiatives.

    You will succeed by having a keen understanding of the customer’s key business challenges and you will work with the client to develop solutions which deliver real value. You will thrive under your own initiative. Your customer base will expect you to know their business – frequent travel to them will form a large part of your work.

    You will be an effective internal communicator and collaborator working successfully with all appropriate TEOCO business functions. You will be responsible to adhere to appropriate sales approval and reporting processes.

    As Regional Sales Manager you will have clear business development and sales responsibilities for the TEOCO portfolio of Products, Services and Solutions. This will involve the following:

    • Develop and support new and existing business and technical partnerships across Africa

    Summary of Role:
    The TEOCO BSS Account Executive is a customer-facing executive level sales professional responsible for sales of the entire TEOCO business service solutions (BSS) portfolio into national accounts. As such, the primary performance metrics for the role are revenue, bookings and related forecast accuracy against a sales quota for the TEOCO BSS solutions portfolio. The BSS Account Executive conducts their role in the framework of TEOCO’s collaborative sales model which defines what the responsibilities of the various TEOCO stakeholder organizations, i.e. LoB owners, presales engineering and delivery management, are at various stages in the sales process.

    Responsibilities and Daily Activities:

    • Development and maintenance of business relationships with key account decision makers
    • Pursues TEOCO solutions BSS portfolio sales bookings into national accounts
    • Forecast and forecast accuracy for all TEOCO business into national accounts
    • Development and successful execution of TEOCO solutions sales strategies in the national accounts
    • Initiates, organizing and conducts meetings required to execute opportunity sales strategies
    • Tracking opportunity through presales milestones and working with team members to deliver in a timely manner

    Qualifications and Required Experience:

    • 5 – 10 years minimum Executive Level sales experience in BSS solutions sales with an understanding of inter-carrier cost management, least cost routing, and network analytics.

This is a great opportunity to get in the ground floor of consulting, building a foundation of telecom knowledge, and developing advanced software skills. Based on direction from management, analyze client invoice data and pinpoint vendor overbillings or under billings by applying general audit principals such as pattern recognition, data filtering, and cross referencing multiple data sources. The applicant will be required to analyze contracts, applicable tariffs, Interconnection Agreements, and research other sources of potential data. Other source data may include industry databases such as LERG (Local Exchange Routing Guide) and NECA (National Exchange Carrier Association), client provisioning systems, internal TEOCO software tools such as BillTrak Pro, SONAR, and NEO, and external software tools such as COFinder and Google Earth. Employee will leverage some or all of the following software tools as part of daily activities: MS Excel, SQL, MS Access, and Business Objects. Employee will load potential overbillings or under billings in a spreadsheet format into TEOCO’s web-based Claim Center application, adding a written description of the issue and any necessary supporting information. Employee will analyze any responses from vendors and provide on-going support to the reconciliation team to help resolve issues on behalf of the client with the vendor. Employee may be called, on occasion, to participate in calls with clients to explain issues or to demonstrate and train clients on how issues were identified.
